Towers and Power Lines

During the process of aerial application, professionals may come into contact with unregistered cell or meteorology towers that exceed 50’ Above Ground Level (AGL).

Technology such as ForeFlight have created the ultimate tool for every cockpit of an aircraft to ensure the safety of aerial professionals across the industry.

ForeFlight has the ability to filter and magnify low-level obstacles in the area, and will send a warning to pilots when they approach a low-level hazard.

If ForeFlight does not recognize a tower that a professional has spotted, Nav Canada may not be aware of it, and it may pose a danger to other aircraft.
