Canadian Aerial Applicators Association CAP Clinic Analyst

Analyst for the 2010 Canadian Aerial Applicators Association (CAAA) Calibration Clinics in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Employment Period
• May 16 – 31, 2010 with the possibility of extension due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

Scope of Work & Responsibilities
• Provide calibration clinic management and administration for the CAAA.
• Calibrate all scheduled aircraft at each location.
• Make a reasonable effort to assist all aircraft to meet at least the minimum standards with the existing aircraft spray equipment.
• Conduct CAP clinics on days when weather is favorable to calibration.
• Safe operation procedures must be followed at all times.
• Complete all scheduled aircraft before leaving clinic location.
• Provide completed certification records and supply a copy to both the aircraft owner and CAAA office.
• Provide an invoice for expenses within 30 days of expenditure.

The Analyst must comply with the following:
• Support the goals set for the CAP Clinic.
• No unauthorized use of the equipment or non-member use.
• All billing will go through the CAAA office.
• Maintain communication with the CAAA office.

The CAAA agrees to provide the following:
• clinic scheduling
• host arrangements and airport approval
• calibration equipment
• calibration equipment insurance
• clinic locations
• minimum standards for clinic certification
• a clinic assistant to accompany and assist the Analyst
• vehicle, trailer with supplies, and cell phone

Qualifications
• Extensive experience with aircraft calibration with a focus on optimizing spray patterns.
• M.S. and Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering or related field
• Valid agricultural pilot license
• Significant experience in agricultural chemical research, testing, product development, drift evaluations, training seminars, literature development and education.
• Ability to work independently and legally permitted to work in Canada.
