CAAA Membership Classifications
Industry Member
Any person, firm or corporation who operates an agricultural/forestry aviation business shall be an Industry Member. An Industry Member shall be entitled to appoint not more than two representatives to attend meetings of Members, which representative or representatives shall be entitled to two votes at all meetings of Members.
Non-Industry Member
Any person, firm or corporation who has an interest in aerial application but does not fall within the definition of Industry Member, including but not limited to pilots who are directly or indirectly employed by or under contract with an industry Member shall be a Non-Industry Member. Non-Industry Members shall be entitled to one representative, who shall be entitled to one vote at all meetings of Members.
Allied Industry Members
Any person, firm or corporation not engaged in aerial application but closely allied to the aviation industry, including but not limited to aircraft manufacturers, aircraft engine manufacturers, insurance underwriters and other industries which serve the agricultural aviation industry shall be an Allied Member. Allied Members shall not be entitled to vote at meetings of Members.
Association Members
A non-profit provincially incorporated company or an unincorporated association whose purposes, objects and qualifications for membership are, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, consistent and compatible with the purposes, objects and qualifications for membership of CAAA and whose application for membership to CAAA has been accepted by the Board of Directors. Each Provincial Association and each Regional Association shall be entitled to that number of votes which is equal to the number of Directors each is entitled to appoint to the Board of Directors.
Honorary Members
The Board of Directors in its sole discretion may designate and grant to any person whose unselfish devotion to furthering the interests and efforts of CAAA nationally and whose contribution to the welfare and growth of the industry has been outstanding and above and beyond the call of duty in his or her professional or occupational duties and responsibilities the status of Honorary member of the Association, which honorary membership may be terminated at any time by the Board. Honorary Members shall not be entitled to vote at meetings of Members.
